Overview

Come with us and visit two most important holy places in Nepal- Pashupatinath and Muktinath. Pashupatinath is the most honored God of Nepal. And this temple of Lord Shiva situated on the shores of the Bagmati River and lies in the eastern part of Kathmandu. Also the temple is listed in UNESCO World Heritage Sites list. Only Hindus are allowed to go in the temple. However, Non-Hindus can have a look from the peak of hill lying the east of the temple and from the other side of the Bagmati River.

The famous temple of Muktinath lies in north-center of Nepal and at an elevation of 3800 m. Muktinath; a pilgrimage spot for both Buddhist and Hindu has a pagoda-shaped temple devoted to Lord Vishnu. Just at the back the temple, we can find 108 water taps cast in the form of cow head that pours holy water where numerous of pilgrimage takes bath. Especially during the festival of Janai Purnima, Hindu followers assemble here to worship lord Muktinath. Another renowned temple of Jwaladevi, the idol of flame, is located about 100m south of Muktinath. The everlasting flame that is burning inside the temple incessantly also draws both Buddhists and Hindus.

Best Season

We can go for this trek throughout the year. However, from April to November, the Mustang region has favorable climate so trekking in these months will reward you. And since the region is in the rain shadow area, we can do trekking in during the monsoon season too.

Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival (1300m)

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by our representative at Kathmandu International airport and then you will be transferred to hotel. You can relax for the rest of the day and in the evening you can enjoy dinner with Nepali cultural dance. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Tour to Pashupatinath

Today, you will go around the sacred temple of Hindu, Pashupatinath. The temple of Lord Shiva situated on the shores of the Bagmati River is of pagoda style and has beautifully engraved wooden beam. The two level roofs are made of copper with gold layer. And it has four main doors, all wrapped with silver sheets. Overnight at hotel again.

Day 03: Kathmandu-Pokhara

After breakfast, today you will be drive by bus from Kathmandu to reach Pokhara. Also, you have an option of taking the scenic flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara which lets you to experience flying over the three peaks above 8000m.Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will move to the hotel. After relaxing for some time, you can walk to lakeside. Overnight at Pokhara.

Day 04: Pokhara – Jomsom (2743m) drive to Muktinath, Muktinath Darshan and back to Jomsom.

Today, you will take a picturesque flight to Jomsom taking about 25 minutes. After you get there in Jomsom you will drive to the famous Hindu temple” God of Salvation”, which is also sacred place for Buddhists. Just at the back the temple, we can find 108 water taps cast in the form of cow head that pours holy water where numerous of pilgrimage takes bath. Especially during the festival of Janai Purnima, Hindu followers assemble here to worship lord Muktinath. Another renowned temple of Jwaladevi, the idol of flame, is located about 100m south of Muktinath. Then we will return back to Jomsom.

Day 05: Jomsom – Pokhara

All flights to Pokhara run in morning only since the strong breeze blows in the day making the flights tricky to operate, so we have to get up up early and arrange for flight to Pokhara. Explore Pokhara for the rest of the day. Overnight at Hotel in Pokhara.

Day 06: Pokhara – Kathmandu

After having breakfast we will drive back to Kathmandu by Tourist Bus or private vehicle taking around 6hrs, or you may take a flight to Kathmandu directly which takes only half an hour and stay in the hotel overnight.

Day 07: Kathmandu

Today is free day on your own in Kathmandu. We need have one extra day as reserve since there is a chance of flight cancel and delay. You can go around for sightseeing to major places in Kathmandu if any remaining. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 08: Departure

Our airport representative will take you to the airport for your way back your country.
