Overview

This combined tour to Pokhara, Chitwan and Lumbini will allow you to experience both cultural and natural splendor of Nepal. Also, you will get an opportunity to go around and witness the fascinating cultural heritages in Kathmandu Valley which are enlisted in the World Heritage list.

Moving to Pokhara from Kathmandu, you will get an occasion to view many attractive lakes and gigantic mountains which boost the glory of the city. You will be also rewarded with the splendid views of Manaslu, Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna range. Pokhara, along with the best of Himalayan charm also includes three striking lakes - Phewa, Begnas and Phewa. The eye-catching places to visit here Barahi Temple located at the core of Phewa Lake; the Gupteshwor cave which is renowned for the strange natural forms; Seti Gorge, Bindabasini Temple, Davis’s falls, several other arresting lakes and arresting views of sunrise over the Himalayan peaks from Sarangkot.

Likewise, we then proceed to Chitwan National Park. Situated in southern-central Nepal and occupying 932sq.km, Chitwan National Park is located in the central Terai region in Nepal.  Chitwan National Park, enlisted in UNESCO Natural Heritage list in 1979 will let you witness varieties of wildlife and birds riding on elephant back or jeep and see the mesmerizing natural environment including thick forest, rich grasslands and natural stream.

Besides, we will visit Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha which falls on the western region of Terai of Nepal. The city is popular as the place of sacred pilgrimage. Also, Lumbini is enlisted in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1997 AD. Similarly, here you can visit a variety of Buddhist monasteries like- Chinese, Thai, Nepalese, etc. The major appeal of Lumbini is the holy garden stretched over 8 sq. km. You can visit the Mayadevi temple lying to the west, the Ashoka Pillar which was raised by Emperor Ashoka in 249 BC as an indication of admiration to his trip to this holy site. Moreover, we can also observe the holy pond Puskarni falling at the south of the Pillar and it is believed that Queen Mayadevi took a bath there just prior to giving birth to the Lord Buddha.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu (1300m)

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by our representative at Kathmandu International airport and then you will be transferred to hotel. You can relax for the rest of the day and in the evening you can enjoy dinner with Nepali cultural dance. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Sight-seeing tour around Kathmandu

After breakfast, today we will have a sight –seeing tour to Kathmandu where you will observe rich and long history of Nepal. The tour includes visit to the cultural heritage sites enlisted in the UNESCO World Heritage. While visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square, you will see the long-established royal palace of the Kathmandu kingdom. Also, you will go to visit Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple; Pashupatinath- one of the major Hindu temple with the statue of Lord Shiva ; Boudha Stupa- one of the sacred Buddhist sites in Kathmandu. And moreover, you will be able to see the the life-style of people residing in the Kathmandu Valley. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Chitwan Driving duration: 4 to 5 hours

We today, drive for around 4 to 5 hours to reach Kathmandu from Chitwan. Here you can spot a range of wild animals being protected -500 Asian one-horned rhinoceros, clumsy elephants,  around hundred Royal Bengal Tigers, deer, python, crocodile, leopards, langur, wild cats, grey deer, rhesus monkey; different classes of birds and plants mainly of sissoo, simal, Khair and more than 50 different species of plants enthralls every visitors to the park. Besides, you will also see customary Tharu dance performed by groups of men carrying sticks.  Overnight at hotel or resort.

Day 04: Jungle activities in the National Park

Today you will have a full day visit in the jungle. Also, you will go for elephant riding, bird watching, canoeing, Ghariyal Crocodile Breeding Center, Elephant Breeding Center, Tharu settlement tour and more today. Overnight at hotel or lodge again.

Day 05: Drive to Lumbini

Today after having our breakfast we will drive to Lumbini. Adnd then you have a half day sightseeing program. You can visit the Mayadevi temple lying to the west, the Ashoka Pillar which was raised by Emperor Ashoka in 249 BC as an indication of admiration to his trip to this holy site. Moreover, we can also observe the holy pond Puskarni falling at the south of the Pillar and it is believed that Queen Mayadevi took a bath there just prior to giving birth to the Lord Buddha. Similarly, you may also go around archeological and religious places of Tilaurakot, Kudan, Gotihawa, Niglihara, Siddharthanagar, Sagarhawam Aurorakot.

Day 06: Drive to Pokhara

Today we will drive to Pokhara from Lumbini. Pokhara is very much popular among tourists where natural beauty and cultural heritages rewards you such as caves, lakes, temples, etc. Overnight at hotel in Pokhara.

Day 07: Exploration of Pokhara

Today, you will get a chance to view many attractive lakes and gigantic mountains which boost the glory of the city. You will be also rewarded with the splendid views of Manaslu, Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna range. Pokhara, along with the best of Himalayan charm also includes three striking lakes - Phewa, Begnas and Phewa. Day 08: Pokhara to Kathmandu

You will take a vehicle to return back to Kathmandu taking around 7 to 8 hours. After  reaching Kathmandu, optionally, you can stay in the hotel and relax. Or, you can also go around the historical and world heritage sites in Kathmandu that you couldn’t go for on the second day of your trek. Or, you can go around for shopping. Overnight at hotel.

Day 09: Departure

You will drive to airport by our representative and take the flight to reach your destination from Kathmandu.
