Overview

Syaklung trek, one of the best short trips in Annapurna region lies on the western part of central Nepal and near to the Pokhara city. This short and easy trek holds the striking trekking way having magnificent mountains views all along with pleasant local villagers. The trip will take you to the foothills of Annapurna and Fishtail. And the very less trodden trail embraces captivating surroundings and striking Himalaya range. The trek begins from the eastern region of Pokhara and finishes by going across Begnas Lake by boat.

From Bijaypur, we will begin our trek through the rice fields and ascends gently all along a ridge through the communities Brahman, Chhetri to Kalikastan. You will have superb views of Annapurna and Machhapuchhre. And moving ahead from Kalikastan, our walk follows the woods edge all the way through Thulokot and Mathi Thana. After short ascend, you will arrive at Naudanda. With short vertical rising and falling way you will move to the Shaklung. From Syaklung, the track drops vertically down the southern part of the hill to a big tree, a Chautara, passing via the several teashops and also you will come across a police check post.  Then the track ascends to Chisapani, from here you will be see pleasant views of the gigantic peaks. Moving down from the edge top of Chisapani vertically to a small valley, you will continue all the way through rice fields and make a final climb to the edge that divides Begnas Tal and Rupa Tal. From the edge, you will move down into the Pokhara Valley that links the road at the swarming Begnas Bazaar. From here you will drive back to Pokhara.

Best Season

The best months to visit the Syaklung trekking are October to December and February to April. However, spring season is the most pleasant to go for the Syaklung trekking since the weather is pleasant during these months.

Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival (1300m)

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by our representative at Kathmandu International airport and then you will be transferred to hotel. You can relax for the rest of the day and in the evening you can enjoy dinner with Nepali cultural dance. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing

Today, you will be go around different world heritage sites in Kathmandu valley; the sacred temple of Hindu, Pashupatinath; the world’s biggest Stupa, Boudhanath; Swoyambhunath Stupa  which is also known as the monkey temple; and historical Kathmandu Durbar Square where you will also visit Kumari broadly known as Living Goddess in Basantapur, Kathmandu. You will also go around Patan Durbar Square which is rich in historical art and architecture. Overnight at hotel again.

Day 03: Kathmandu-Pokhara

After breakfast, today you will be drive by bus from Kathmandu to reach Pokhara. Also, you have an option of taking the scenic flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara which lets you to experience flying over the three peaks above 8000m.Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will move to the hotel. After relaxing for some time, you can walk to lakeside. Overnight at Pokhara.

Day 04: Drive to Bijayapur and trek to Kalikastan (1243m) about 5 hrs walk

Today after having breakfast, you will drive for around 20m drive to reach Bijaypur. From here we will begin our trek through the rice fields and ascends gently all along a ridge through the communities Brahman, Chhetri to Kalikastan. You will have superb views of Annapurna and Machhapuchhre. Over night at the tea house in Kalikastan.

Day 05: Trek to Shaklung (1730m) 5-6 hrs walk

Departing from Kalikastan today the walk follows the woods edge all the way through Thulokot and Mathi Thana. After short ascend, you will arrive at Naudanda. With short vertical rising and falling way you will move to the Shaklung. Overnight at the tea house in Syaklung.

Day 06: Trek to Chisapani (1260m) 4-5 hrs walks

From Syaklung, the track drops vertically down the southern part of the hill to a big tree, a Chautara, passing via the several teashops and also you will come across a police check post.  Then the track ascends to Chisapani, from here you will be see pleasant views of the gigantic peaks. Overnight at the tea house in Chisapani.

Day 07: Trek to Begnas Bazaar and drive to Pokhara

On this day you will move down from the edge top of Chisapani vertically to a small valley. You will continue all the way through rice fields and make a final climb to the edge that divides Begnas Tal and Rupa Tal. From the edge, you will move down into the Pokhara Valley that links the road at the swarming Begnas Bazaar. From here you will drive back to Pokhara. Over night at the hotel in Pokhara.

Day 08: Pokhara – Kathmandu

We today take the bus to Kathmandu from Pokhara, where you have the alternative of taking flight too and return back to Kathmandu with the unforgettable experience which you cannever forget.

Day 09: Final Departure

You will drive to airport by our representative and take the flight to reach your destination from Kathmandu.

In Gosaikunda 2014 November...

We took two groups to Gosaikunda at December 2014. We sent two guides with each seven and five groups. It was very successful trip of our company as before. Every travelers of Korea and Norway became lot of happy to visit there. Again they will arrive here in same company to visit ghorepeni poonhill trek.
