Overview

Tilicho Lake- Mesokanto Pass Trek (5099m.)  is attractive trekking adventure to the one of the highest altitude crystal water lake in Nepal. The interesting Mesokanto trekking trail follows the path Annapurna region route to Tilicho Pass (at 5230m.) with the opportunity. Masokanto La Pass is technical pass to cross which requires rope though it is not in height more than Tilicho Pass. The adventure continues in Annapurna region with magnificent views of Annapurna massif and Dhaulagiri massif.

Tilicho Lake- Mesokanto la Pass Trekking provides the panoramic view of Mt. Tilicho Annapurna massif, Mt. Gangapurna, Mt. Fishtail, Glacier Dome and hundreds of mountains and peaks. Mesokanto La pass Trek in Annapurna region is one of the pleasant adventures with the opportunities of exploring green valleys and hills, culturally rich villages, flowery slopes, forests of rhododendron, pastures lands and river gorges including very impressive sunrise and sunset views in Himalayan Range. The trail is full of diverse flora and fauna. The flowering vegetation along the way makes anyone feel it is the natural garden. The exploration of unique culture of Gurung and Magar ethnicity who are the indigenous tribes of Nepal’s hillside can be rewarding for the visitors as they have unique culture and lifestyle. The holy region is ideal for both the natural explorers and adventure seekers. Trekking adventure route continues up to Manang village which is ancient and offers unique culture to be explored.

Tilicho Lake- Mesokanto La Pass Trekking is exciting adventure up to Tilicho Pass and Mesokanto La Pass which is to be crossed with technical enhancement. The Trekking is not difficult but demands high altitude trekking experience with physically fit and good health. Peaceful Himalaya Trekking has local guides who are expert for supporting the trekkers in this package. We have designed this package to provide life memorable adventure trek to explore the highest altitude lake in Nepal.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu (1,300m)

You are welcome in Nepal. After you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), the representative of Peaceful Himalaya Trekking greets with warm welcome and takes you to the hotel which is already booked. The hotel staffs will be engaged for your accommodation after the check in hotel. In the evening, we arrange special welcome dinner in the hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing and preparation for trek

In the morning after breakfast, there will be a guided tour to the famous cultural and historical sites of Kathmandu. In the afternoon, the pre- trip discussion with your guide for well preparation of the trip. Guides of Peaceful Himalaya Trekking will give brief information about Island Peak Climbing. The dinner can be taken in the hotel in the evening. You can experience night life of Thamel or surrounding Kathmandu too.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Jagat (1,300m), 6hrs.

We drive to Jagat through Besisahar with enjoying the picturesque views of mountains, rivers and natural vegetation of Prithivi Highway. The road leads to Besisahar through Dumre Bazaar. You can experience the natural beauty of hilly region with fine greenery and scattered settlements. The journey to Besisahar is about 6 hours along the road with number bents. In private can you can directly go to Jagat but in public bus we have to change the bus from Besisahar.

Day 04: Jagat to Dharapani (1,960m)

From Jagat, we will trek through a suspension bridge above the intense Marsyangdi River. Then we have a steep climb for the next 2-3 hours to reach to Tal. It is the community located on the valley at the side of the Marsyangdi River. In addition, the trek moves following the upstream to the Dharapani which passes through the rocky tracks and cross few suspension bridges then you will arrive at Dharapani, a large village where we stay overnight.

Day 05: Trek to Koto (2,600m.), overnight at tented camp.

After taking breakfast in Dharapani we head to Koto. Today the journey goes for 8/9 hours where we passes the pine forest and Oak land as well as beautiful waterfalls and amazing views of Manaslu and Annapurna II. The local Gurung village named Timang adds more pleasure in your trekking in Mesokanto La Pass trekking with Peaceful Himalaya Trekking. After some walk from the village we reach Koto at the height of 2600 meters which is famous for the gateway of Narphu Valley trek.

Day 06: Koto to Meta (3560m), 5/6 hours walk

In the morning we take breakfast and head to another famous place Meta. After 5/6 hours walk we can reach at Meta which lies at 3560m. The surrounding panoramic scene and vegetation are the major attraction of the trekking. Overnight at camp. 

Day 07: Trek to Kayang (3,740meter), overnight at tented camp.

Today we have a vertical ascend along a picturesque river then we will reach high meadows at 3200m. We will cross scenic Kharka 3560m which is the winter settlement of Nar. The peaks around us are spectacular. Above the Kharka, a massive glaciers falls unevenly down to the high meadows above us. Then after, gradually we will move to Kayang. Here we set our camp to spend our night.

Day 08: Trek to Phu Village (4,050meter), overnight at tented camp.

Today, we will walk beside the riverbed and traverse some Mani chortens. Then after, we climb from the river until we arrive at the Phu valley. About trekking for about 1 hour from the valley entry we traverse the Phu Khola and begin moving to the Phu village. Overnight at a tented camp in Phu Village.

Day 09: Excursion around Phu valley, overnight at tented camp.

We today have a rest day and go around the Phu village and we might also climb a little more up to the valley. Overnight at tented camp in Phu Village.

Day 10: Trek to Junam (3550meter), overnight at tented camp.

Departing from Phu, today we will descend to the river and make our way back to Junam which is a pleasant spot. Overnight at tented camp in Junam.

Day 11: Trek to Nar Village (4,150meter), overnight at tented camp./Mahendra pool

On this day we will climb to Nar Village (4,150m). We will proceed and have a long walk through the side moraine of Temdenzon River on a very well path. At the foot of Kang La, we will set our camp at Nar village to spend our night.

Day 12: Trek Khangla Base Camp and overnight at Camp

Day 13: Trek to Ngwal (3,675meter) after crossing Kang La pass (5,315meter), overnight at tented camp.

Today we have one of the challenging days; however it is very much rewarding. We have to cross the Kang La pass at (5,280m). We have a fast ascent to the apex of the pass where we will observe a chorten and many other striking views of the Annapurna range. From the crest of the pass, we have a perpendicular descent and walking for an hour we stroll on a grassy track that takes us to Ngwal. We set our camp for overnight.

Day 14: Trek to Manang (3,540m.)

On this day, we trek to Manang. Trek continues enjoying panoramic views of the gigantic mountains and peaks walking through slopes. The time you get in the afternoon as we reach the village is enough to explore the village. The views of mountains from the village are astonishing. Experience the hospitality of the Manang people.

Day 15: Rest at Manang

It is our rest day in Manang. You can freely explore Manang to experience uniquely unspoiled culture. Hiking to Deurali to explore the village and have wonderful views of Chulu West and East, Pisang Peak, Gangapurna, Annapurna massif and Tilicho Peak give astonishing views from there. We stay overnight in a lodge.

Day 16: Manang to Khangsar (3,600m)

This day trek continues to Khangsar village crossing Khangsar Khola. The trekking continues descending down to Khangsar Khola and crosses over a bridge and enters in the village which has Tibetan life style and culture. The village is also known as the last village of Nepal in high altitude. We stay overnight in Khangsar.

Day 17: Khangsar to Tilicho Base Camp Trek (4,916m.)

On this day, trek continues to Tilicho Lake from Khangsar village ascending up to a high ridge. From the ridge the views are unpredictably impressive and eyes staking. You can spend some time there enjoying the magnificent panorama of the area and continue to Tilicho Peak Base Camp where we stay overnight in a tented camp.

Day 18: Khangsar to Tilicho Lake Trek (5,315m)

This day trek is to the world’s highest altitude crystal water lake. We explore surrounding area of Tilicho Lake till afternoon and return back to Base Camp of Tilicho Peak for overnight stay. The close up views of the peaks and mountains around lake give enough pleasure of the trek on this day.

Day 19: Tilicho to Mesokanto Pass hike and Kharka Trek (5,320m) 6hrs.

On this day, our trekking continues to the Mesokanto Pass in the morning, it is short hike to get wonderful views of gigantic mountains of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri region. After exploring the area and clicking around, we trek descending down to Kharka. We stay overnight in Yak Kharka which is a meadow for grazing yaks.

Day 20: Trek back through Eastern Pass 5200m to Bakhra Goth

Day 21: Bakhra Goth to Jomsom Trek (2,730) 4hrs.

This day trek is longer Trek to Jomsom from Yak Kharka. We trek through the forests of rhododendron and pine trees having panoramic views of the green hills and slopes. Some mountain streams and gorges have to be crossed along the way before we arrive Jomsom. If trhe time remains, you can freely explore Jomsom Bazaar before we stay overnight there.

Day 22: Jomsom Pokhara Kathmandu flight and exploring the city

After breakfast, you will fly back to Pokhara. The flight is short-scenic with exciting views as it goes through the two huge mountains- Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. After landing in Pokhara, you will be transferred to Kathmandu in another flight and will be received by our representatives and transferred to hotel. There will be celebration dinner with the team in the evening. Remaining time is for purchasing gifts to your near ones.

Day 23: Farewell Day

In last day of adventure trip in Nepal, we bid good bye to our guests. Company representatives will take you to the TIA before 3 hours of scheduled flight. If your flight is late in afternoon, you can catch the last moments of Nepal stay in Kathmandu city. We hope you will be planning for another adventure-trip while you are on returning back to your homeland

In Gosaikunda 2014 November...

We took two groups to Gosaikunda at December 2014. We sent two guides with each seven and five groups. It was very successful trip of our company as before. Every travelers of Korea and Norway became lot of happy to visit there. Again they will arrive here in same company to visit ghorepeni poonhill trek.
