Overview

Langtang Valley also known as "the valley of glaciers" is located to the North of Kathmandu valley. Langtang valley trekking bestows you an opportunity of witnessing spectacular mountain streams, grassy meadows filled with daisies and pine forest, but also with massive snow- capped peaks. Besides, the Langtang valley popularly recognized as the store house of alpine vegetation is off the beaten track region where large number of Tamangs settles whose way of life and culture is similar with Tibetan people.
Visiting Kyanjin Gompa, one of the Buddhist spot of pilgrimage; mountaineering Chorko-Ri for observing striking view of Mt. Langtag-ri, Langsisa, Langtang Himal, Ganjala peak; walking via rhododendron jungle; and most significantly visiting holy lake Gosainkunda (4,380m) are the attractive part of Langtang Gosainkunda Trek. Also, you will go around Langtang National park established in 1976 to care for the wild animals, plants and birds of the region. This trek also gives an opportunity to observe the culture and life-style of Tamang people.

The 19-days Langtang Gosainkunda Trek offers you a prospect to experience natural vista and distinctive culture along with bio diversity. Langtang Gosainkunda trek is recognized as the average type of trekking and the highest elevation of this trek is 4620m. You will be staying either in a lodge or tent or guesthouse as per your desire while trekking.

Why different

Visiting Gosainkunda is one of the major attractions of the Langtang Gosainkunda Trek. It is also one of the holy places of Nepal where many Buddhist and Hindus pilgrims make trip to adore especially during full moon day in August. It is supposed that Gosainkunda Lake is shaped by Lord Shiva to ignore the thirst after drinking the toxin that was terrorizing the world.

Best seasons

The best season to go for Langtang Gosainkunda Trek is spring and autumn though it can be preferred throughout the year. Spring is also good choice because of warmer temperatures. Talking about summer, some trekkers prefer to go but this the season when the place will have lots of leeches.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m)

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by our representative of Peaceful Himalaya Trekking at Kathmandu International airport and then you will be transferred to hotel. You can relax for the rest of the day and in the evening you can enjoy dinner with Nepali cultural dance. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing

Today, you will be go around different world heritage sites in Kathmandu valley; the sacred temple of Hindu, Pashupatinath; the world’s biggest Stupa, Boudhanath; Swoyambhunath Stupa  which is also known as the monkey temple; and historical Kathmandu Durbar Square where you will also visit Kumari broadly known as Living Goddess in Basantapur, Kathmandu. You will also go around Patan Durbar Square which is rich in historical art and architecture. Overnight at hotel again.

Day 03: Kathmandu - Syabrubesi (2,000m)

Today we will drive for around 6 to 7 hours from Kathmandu to reach Syabrubesi beside Bhotekoshi River. Also, you will perceive different striking ranges of Himalayas and villages. While passing from the side of Trishuli River you grasp a vista of lush hills and Ganesh Himal. Overnight at guest house or trekker’s lodge.

Day 04: Syabru - Lama Hotel (2,748m)

We pass via the edge on Syabru Besi's primary road and come across at suspension bridge higher than the Bhote Koshi which is situated to the North of the unifying point with Langtang River. Thick forest with range of plants like maple, oaks, alder, bamboo etc. comes on the way. Also, you may see yellow-throated martin, langur monkey, wild boar, Himalayan black bear etc. Moving further on, the trail comes transversely through a river and a bridge. We constantly ascend all along the track; we once more traverse a steel suspension bridge (2,000m) above the Langrang Khola. The path further moves to the North shore of the Langtang River with the arresting vistas of waterfalls. We then, go into Changtang known as Lama Hotel. Overnight in Syabrubesi at the hotel.

Day 05: Lama Hotel - Langtang Valley (3,500m)

Today we will depart from Lama Hotel to Langtang (3,430m.) taking about five hours. Walking for around 2 hours we arrive at Ghora Tabela, a small settlement with trekker’s lodge, police checkpoint, shops and more. Again, we pass via Tamang Villages where we can observe Tibetan sort of prayer flags and prayer wheels. Also, we will be enchanted by the eye-catching views of the Langtang range en-route. Then, you will reach at Langtang Village. Overnight at Trekkers Lodge.

Day 06: Langtang Valley - Kyagjin (3,800m)

Our way today steadily moves further all the way through rich yak meadows and beautiful long-established settlements of Muna to Singdun. We come transversely through a wooden bridge and enter a wide valley after making our way up to a moraine. Finally, ascending along the peak, we arrive at Kyagjin Gompa where you will view a small monastery and a government- managed by cheese factory. Overnight in Kyagjin at Trekkers Lodge.

Day 07: Kyagjin - Lama Hotel (2,748m)

From Kyagjin, we make our way back to Lama Hotel today trekking beside the same way walk beside the Langtang river to Langtang village and then reach Ghora Tabela. We continue after having our lunch trekking and walk on a way that perpendicularly drops to Lama Hotel. Overnight at Lama Hotel.

Day 08: Lama Hotel - Syabru Besi (2,000m)

From Lama Hotel we will walk around 5 hours to reach Syabrubesi. The upper area of the path is more eye-catching for witnessing the vistas of lush hills and peaks. This path is extensive all the way through the varied Tamang and Sherpa villages. The first half of the tracks slowly moves down and then swiftly turns along to the Syabru Besi (1,600m.).

Day 09: Syabru Besi - Sing Gompa (3,330m)

From Syabru Besi we go by schools and additionally we go up to the vertical hill and to Dursagang (2,660m). The path continues via the woods of oak, hemlock and move to the top of point at Foprang Danda (3,190). Then, we go by the government agriculture office and we will get there to Sing Gompa which is the major appeal of Chandan Bari. Overnight at Sing Gompa in hotel.

Day 10: Sing Gompa - Lauribina Yak (3,920m)

Today, we go away from Sing Gompa and our trail climbs gradually up to Chalang pati (3,650m). We further move from Chalang pati, the scenes of Langtang Lirung, the Himalayas edging Tibet and the splendid forest occupied up with rhododendron and pine is amazing. The track makes way up to to Laurebina Yak. Overnight in guest house or hotel at Laurebina Yak.

Day 11: Lauribina Yak - Gosainkunda (4,380m)

The way climbs up to a small temple which has a figure of Sakyamuni and moving further up you can observe superb views of Saraswati kunda. After trekking for a little time you will also view excellent views of Bhairav Kunda and ascending gently you will get to Gosainkunda. Overnight at lodge or guest house in Gosainkunda.

Day 12: Gosainkunda - Gopte (3,440m)

Today, the trail moves to the northern part of Gosainkunda Lake and then comes transversely through a moraine, passing three more small lakes; you will reach at Laurebina La (4,610m). The track moves down to National Park Post at Bhera Goth (4,240m) and then eventually moves to Phedi (3,740m). From Phedi the path moves down and climbs all the way through bamboo, scrub to Dupichaur (3,630m) and falls finally to Ghopte. Overnight at guest house in Gopte.

Day 13: Gopte - Tharepati (3,640m)

Today our path declines from Ghopte and we have to march on number of descending and ascending trails to come crosswise through moraines. We then, make a last climb to Tharepati today witnessing the very well vista all along the path. Overnight at lodge in Tharepati.

Day 14: Tharepati - Gul Bhanjayang (2,140m)

From Tharepati today we the track follows pass via forests to arrive at Magen Goth (3,420m) and then reach Panghu. Also, we descend through the forest of rhododendron, fir etc. perceiving the striking and terrific peaks on the way to Khutumsang (2,450m). Ultimately, the track declines to the pleasant village of Gul Bhanjyang. Overnight at lodge or guest house in Gul Bhanjyang.

Day 15: Gul Bhanjayang - Chisapani (2,134m)

Moving further on from Gul Bhanjyang, today our path moves all along the wooded edge and then we go up to Thodang Betini (2,260m) and walk further to arrive come at Chipling (2,170m). Making a vertical way down the path takes us to Pati Bhanjyang (1,860m), a community of Brahman and Chettri. Then, the track moves to Chisapani where you will view the Himalayan panorama and the beautiful sunrise view over the gigantic Himalayas. Overnight at gust house in Chisapani.

Day 16: Chisapani – Sundarijal (1,300m)

From Chisapani we walk in front through the forest of oak, rhododendron etc. and trekking further you will reach Borlang Bhanjyang (2,440m). En-route, you will notice the Army check post. Here, Shivapuri entrance permit is checked, and then we will stroll to Mulkharka (1,800m) from here you can see a magnificent view of Kathmandu valley. Trekking further down through the jungle, you will arrive at Sundarijal. Overnight at hotel in Sundarijal.

Day 17: Sundarijal – Kathmandu

On this day, you will drive from Sundarijal to Kathmandu by bus. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 18: Kathmandu

Today we have a day rest in Kathmandu. Optionally, you can stay in the hotel and relax. Or, you can also go around the historical and world heritage sites in Kathmandu that you couldn’t go for on the second day of your trek. Or, you can go around for shopping. Overnight at hotel.

Day 19: Departure

You will drive to airport by our representative and take the flight to reach your destination from Kathmandu.

In Langtang Region at December 2014

On December 2014 we took about 25 peoples to Langtang region.We went there for beautiful Tamang heritage trip. It took us about 18 days. We enjoy a lot with culture, heritages and nature beauty of the place. It was very fantastic trip for us and every friends of Norway. 

In Gosaikunda 2014 November...

We took two groups to Gosaikunda at December 2014. We sent two guides with each seven and five groups. It was very successful trip of our company as before. Every travelers of Korea and Norway became lot of happy to visit there. Again they will arrive here in same company to visit ghorepeni poonhill trek. 

To Everest Base Camp at December 2014

After the route of Langtang, we went to Everest with five German friends. We enjoy a lot with the beautiful view of Everest in very close and the society of Sherpas in Namche Bazzar. It was quite expensive, but also we completed our trip without any difficulties and any problems. Our trip was very enjoyable and ended with lot of happiness and great success.
