Poon Hill (3120m) located in Annapurna region and you will witness the arresting scene of huge Himalayas with Annapurna I, II, III, IV, and Annapurna south, Gangapurna, Dhaulagiri, Lamjung Himal, Nilgiri, Barasikhar and Manaslu ranges. Also, the delightful view of sunrise over the snow-capped peaks will be your life-time experience.

Best Season

The best months to visit the Poon Hill trekking are October to December and February to April. However, spring season is the most pleasant to go for the Ghorepani Poon Hill trekking since the region will be filled with blossoming rhododendron.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel

Upon your entrance in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by our representative of Peaceful Himalaya Trekking at Kathmandu International airport and then you will be transferred to hotel. You can relax for the rest of the day and in the evening you can enjoy dinner with Nepali cultural dance. overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Drive to Pokhara to Tikhedhunga

Pokhara located around 200 km west from Kathmandu can be reached at about 7 hours. The drive passes moves all along Trishuli River and you can also enjoy the beautiful landscapes. Also, you may take tour around Pokhara city. Our Ghorepani Poon Hill trek starts on from Pokhara. Departing from Pokhara we will be driving to reach Nayapul taking about 1 and ½ hours. Then, the trail moves downward through the eye-catching maze, rice and millet farms. Walking beside the major path of Birethanti, we will pass by small cascade. The path will takes us to Sudami and then we gradually walk at the side of valley and you will move through Hile and reach Tikhedhunga. Overnight at tented camp in Tikhedhunga.

Day 03: Tikhedhunga - Ghorepani

Today we have a tough day and our trail climbs and descends through the hills, then a staircase leads us upward and then we will pass through the settlements and we arrive at tea-houses as it moves up. Then, we can notice the first vista of Annapurna South. Climbing further up, we go into a wooded area filled. Further ahead from Banthanti we can perceive the vegetation widening. Then, up at a narrow vale, we got to go up more stairs till we arrive at Nangathanti (2,520m). From here with another one hour climb, we will arrive at Ghorepani. Overnight in Ghorepani.

Day 04: Ghorepani - Poon hill - Tadapani

On this day, we go to Poon Hill to observe arresting sunrise view over the Annapurna Range and Dhaulagiri.  After that we return back to our hotel and proceed through the trail that takes us to the north side along the edging line with magnificent views of the Annapurna widening from east to west. We walk next to the woody crest for a while and we after that come down after passing a small settlement before going into a dense forested ravine. Eventually, the gorge widens and the trail enters an open region and moves downward again before we ascend through dense wood to Tadapani. Overnight in Tadapani.

Day 05: Tadapani to Ghandrung

We will walk further to Ghandruk departing from Tadapani taking around 4 hours. It is the most pleasant village, the settlement of Gurung people. The track mainly passes all the way through forest and goes tenderly down. We will stay overnight at Ghandruk.

Day 06: Ghandruk to Pokhara

From Ghandruk, our trek today, moves downward to Nayapul all the way through the cultivated fields in Modi River valley taking about 4 hours and then we will drive back to Pokhara in about one hour.

Day 07: Pokhara to Kathmandu

Today early in the morning, we will drive to the tourist bus station. The bus departs from Pokhara in the morning to Kathmandu. Arriving in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to the hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 08: Final Departure

You will drive to airport by our representative and take the flight to reach your destination from Kathmandu.

In Gosaikunda 2014 November...

We took two groups to Gosaikunda at December 2014. We sent two guides with each seven and five groups. It was very successful trip of our company as before. Every travelers of Korea and Norway became lot of happy to visit there. Again they will arrive here in same company to visit ghorepeni poonhill trek.
